Historical Societies

Buckley Society Our neighbours over in Buckley, run a similar site and produce a number of publications about Buckley and the surrounding area.

The North East Wales Heritage Forum has been established to celebrate, conserve and promote the rich heritage of the region.

Rhydymwyn Valley History – Local Historical Society for Rhydymwyn Valley Site.

Flintshire Historical Society – Flintshire’s own Historical Society.

Ruthin and District Civic Association – Civic Society for our neighbours to the South, Ruthin.

Civic Trust Wales –  The Civic Trust for Wales promotes civic pride as a means to improving the quality of life for all in the places where we live and work, and encourages community action, good design, sustainable development and respect for the built environment amongst people of all ages.

Clwyd-Powys Archaeological Trust – Working closely with a number of other bodies and societies, CPAT os one of the four Welsh Archaeological Trusts.

CADW Wales – CADW looks after the heritage and culture of Wales.

Cadwyn Clwyd – Rural Development Agency, providing guidance and support for the rural economy across Flintshire and Denbighshire.

Clwyd Family History –  was founded in 1980 to encourage the study of genealogy and family history in north-east Wales,

Mold Town Council – Mold’s own Town Council.

Local Press

Flintshire Leader – Known locally simply as ‘The Leader’ – this is one of the two main local papers within Fintshire.

Flintshire Chronicle – The other local paper within Flintshire.

Mold Camera Society Established in 1963, this is one of the longest established Camera Club’s in North Wales.

Cittaslow Mold – Mold is one of a number of towns that has adopted a common set of principles known as Cittaslow.
